An important statement has been made by SadaPay, the fintech
startup that earlier this year introduced SadaBiz, a business account designed
for independent contractors. Apple Pay and Google Pay are now accepted payment
methods for SadaBiz users.
At the first-ever SadaSummit event held at COLABS and
attended by industry leaders, pioneers of freelancing, and early SadaBiz users,
SadaPay made this news. The occasion served as a forum for talks about
Pakistan's promising future as a major hub for freelance work worldwide.
Notable among the payment options is the addition of Apple
Pay. With 550 million users, Apple Pay has more users than PayPal (450
million). In addition, Apple Pay has four times the number of payments than
PayPal, and it is still growing quickly. With more than 2 billion iPhones
equipped with this payment method, Apple Pay has a vast global reach. SadaPay
saw how important it was to provide Pakistani freelancers with this widely used
and reliable payment option so they could get paid by clients more easily.
Moreover, SadaPay has disclosed that SadaBiz will now take
Google Pay payments, which is following a similar path in terms of worldwide
user adoption.
The company's clear
mission was articulated by SadaPay CEO Brandon Timinsky, who said, "The
future of work for Pakistani youth lies in freelancing." He underlined
that a big step toward achieving this goal is the integration of Apple Pay.
This program not only gives talented young Pakistanis access to the workforce,
but it also significantly contributes to the inflow of foreign currency into
Pakistan.
